Terms of Service for Symposium AI

Effective Date: September 10, 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Symposium AI ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Symposium AI provides a platform for:

  • Hosting AI debates between multiple AI models
  • Multi-AI chat conversations
  • BYOK (Bring Your Own Keys) functionality for AI services
  • Premium features including custom topics and personalities

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

  • You may use the App anonymously with limited features
  • Full features require account registration
  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security

Account Responsibilities

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
  • One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account
  • You must immediately notify us of unauthorized access

4. API Keys and BYOK

Important:

You are solely responsible for:

  • The security of your API keys
  • All charges incurred from AI providers
  • Compliance with AI provider terms of service
  • Appropriate use of AI services

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use the App to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Generate harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Spread misinformation or engage in fraud
  • Attempt to bypass security measures
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the App
  • Use the App for commercial purposes without permission
  • Violate the terms of service of integrated AI providers

6. Premium Features and Payments

7-Day Free Trial Terms:

  • New users are eligible for a 7-day free trial of Premium features
  • The trial provides full access to all Premium features at no charge
  • At the end of the 7-day trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid monthly subscription at $5.99/month unless you cancel
  • You must cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged
  • You may only use one free trial per account (Apple ID, Google account, or email)

Important Billing Information:

  • Premium subscription costs $5.99 per month (USD)
  • Annual subscription costs $59.99 per year (USD), a savings of approximately 17%
  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period
  • Your payment method will be charged within 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
  • You must cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged

Payment Processing by Platform

Mobile Apps (iOS & Android)

  • Payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
  • Billing is managed through your Apple ID or Google account
  • Refunds follow Apple or Google store policies

Web Application

  • Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor
  • Your payment card details are handled directly by Stripe and never stored on our servers
  • You can manage your subscription from the Profile page or via the Stripe customer portal

How to Cancel

  • iOS: Open Settings → tap your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Symposium AI → Cancel Subscription
  • Android: Open Google Play Store → Profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Symposium AI → Cancel
  • Web: Go to Profile → Manage Subscription → Cancel, or use the Stripe billing portal
  • Cancellation stops future billing but does not provide refunds for the current period
  • You retain access to Premium features until the end of your current billing period

Refunds

Mobile App Refunds

  • All mobile purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
  • Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple or Google

Web Application Refunds

  • You may request a refund within 14 days of purchase if you have not used Premium features extensively
  • To request a refund, contact us at support@braveheartinnovations.com
  • Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis
  • Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days

7. Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content

  • You retain ownership of content you create
  • You grant us license to display and process your content
  • You are responsible for the legality of your content

AI-Generated Content

  • AI responses are provided "as is" without warranties
  • We are not responsible for AI-generated content accuracy
  • You should independently verify important information

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMERS:

  • The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties
  • We do not guarantee availability or accuracy
  • AI responses may contain errors or biases
  • We are not liable for decisions based on AI output
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us
